17HMR Bullet Holder

So I am always interested in cheap  effective ways of modifying how I do things. More or less, I am always willing to change when I feel that there is a better way to do something.

This is true in my triathlon training as well as it is a general principle of my life.

I have a bunch of guns. I can't shoot them at my house so I bought a few airsoft guns, an L96 rifle and an R-37 assault rifle (similar to an M4) so I can practice shooting at home. I really enjoy practicing shooting, it is sort of like yoga to me where you have to fully control your body and have a complete sense of calm and composure about you in able to perform the shot. You can't hit your targets if you are frazzled or upset, it's that simple.

So, that being said, when I go to the firing range to fire my real guns, I am a disorganized mess. I have a backpack w/ boxes of ammo all over the place and my guns strewn about. Since you have to pay per minute at the firing range and I am very cheap efficient, I was trying to figure a way to have my bullets ready at my side prior to having to reload my magazines.

What I realized is that the bullets for my 17 HMR rifle are the same size as drill bits. They make drill bit pouches that attach to your belt. This was genius! And this only cost $11.

This is the package it came in. Yes, it was
on clearance, CHA-CHING!

Opened up and sorted... extra drill
bits and a speed changer bit, BONUS!

Now on to what I really bought the package for.

Holds 24 rounds.

Sealed up and ready to go.

Not bulky by any means and is lighter than my cell phone holster.

Does not appear to stick out much, so it should not be an issue
while out in the field hunting or at the gun range.

Now, I bet you are saying well you can get a band that goes on your rifle stock and put bullets in there. I have that... but for the 17 HMR bullets they don't fit well in the sleeves, the openings are too big and the bullets are a bit loose.

When you go hunting, you don't want bullets rattling around, this solves that. The containers that the bullets come in are sometimes hard to get the bullets out too if you don't have long finger nails to get under the rim of the bullet. This provides a FAST and EASY means of accessing your ammunition and provides enough ammo probably for a good half day of hunting.

So far I am very happy with this. It is the perfect size and it is made of a durable canvas type material.

Please feel free to contact me w/ any questions or comments you have on this. I took the first picture of the packaging so you might be able to google it and order it if you are interested.

very clever you are... you need to come to our gun range. One price, you shoot all day long - you can even leave and come back!

Nice dude! Real nice!

Okay, to make it even more efficient go get yourself a toolbox from Home Depot, it is very easy to carry around and you can keep your ammo in the boxes and just remove as you shot. For the handguns just get some, extended magazines. I got a bunch ready to go. When I finish shooting and clean the guns I just reload the mags right then. Makes getting to the range easier and quicker when everything is ready to go!

GENIUS! I think it's a perfect addition to your belt. By the way, you're looking TRIM! That no-plan training plan must be keeping you in good shape. Keep it up!

This was like reading Chinese. HMR....17....sleeves.....

I interpreted that as heart monitor rate of 17 with a wetsuit with sleeves. Now it makes more sense.

Redneck, redneck, redneck. Can't wait until you shoot you foot off! haha.

What is it with Americans and guns, are you really that insecure about your manhood?

I know you are but I just wonder why as a nation yanks feel the need to brandish firearms.

How many more college shootings will it take? (Think I just lost a lot of friends with that one - truth's painful ay?)

Am I holier than though...F@ck yeah hahahaha

Glad you're enjoying the holster, just remember you're still wearing it on your waist. If you show up to a drill party with bullets, the other carpenters will make fun of you.
